First, let's place the RS-1100 into the exclusive company that distinguishes it - this projector features the latest 1080P DLP chip from Texas Instruments. This is the highest resolution DLP projector on the market today. The RS-1100 is based on the proven and award winning Runco CL-810 design, with which it shares the same chassis, light engine, bulb, and built in scaling technologies. They are the exact same size and actually fit in the same box and take the same ceiling mounts and bulb replacements. However the RS-1100 features true 1080P resolution of 1920 X 1080 pixels, meaning that it has over twice as many pixels as a 720P unit. Now, having said that, and to be perfectly honest, the resolution of a projector is not the most important factor in viewing satisfaction. Brightness, color saturation, color accuracy, black levels and white field uniformity are all generally considered more important than resolution. That’s why a 720P Runco can blow away 1080P projectors from other manufacturers such as Sim2, Sony, etc. The Runcos are so much brighter and their colors are so much better that a Runco 720P, or even a 576P Runco, can outperform a 1080P Sony, etc. But obviously if you desire - and you can afford - BOTH the highest resolution available and the quality of a Runco, then that’s the best of all, and here’s a chance to get both at terrific savings. This projector is truly stunning, it has the sharpest picture of any projector that I have ever tested in my home system including some recent $30,000 3-chip DLP machines. This is a current model which retails for $11,995 and you'll have a hard time beating our price of $7,800. Runco retail prices are not just a made up number like Sony and other companies. Most Runcos actually sell at the full retail price, plus sales tax, and they are well worth it. This unit comes to us via a Runco dealer who used it as a showroom demo for a short period - there are only 19 hours on it! - and we have run the unit for only a brief time to confirm that all features are performing properly - and to go "Wow!" just a little bit. As the projector is self contained, it is fairly portable and easy to use and can be ceiling mounted or used on a table or rack. You can take it out of the box and have it up and working in a few minutes, and you don’t need any other devices. It includes a built in screen trigger port, and component inputs can accept either Interlaced or Progressive scan signals from DVD players for the best possible picture. This RS-1100 comes with the remote, a current copy of the manual and the power cord.
