You can install the anemometer on your site and measure instantaneous or average wind speed data over months at a time. The datalogger is nice and compact. The logger is only about the size of a pack of gum and the weatherproof enclosure is just a little larger. The logger can record up to 16383 wind speed readings and the storeage medium is non-volatile, solid state memory, providing maximum data security even if the battery becomes discharged. The logger can be started and stopped directly from a comuter using the included software. With this software, you can select a reading rate from 1 second or up to 1 reading every 12 hours. This will allow you to leave the logger in the field for months before downloading. The user friendly software will graph your data, and calculate the wind speed, min, max, standard deviation with a click of a button. You can export the data to excell or print right from the software. The enclosure is quite nice. It is machined from a solid piece of aluminum and has a black anodized finish. It has a weather tight compression fitting for your cable connection and a access port for the PC connection cable.
