Description
You are bidding on an open-box ZVOX 425 one-box audio system in black finish, with full manufacturer's warranty and a 30-day money-back guarantee. You are buying this acoustically-perfect product directly from the manufacturer. This unit sells normally for $699.99 This particular unit has a slightly scratched cabinet. The ZVOX 425 combines five speakers, two powered subwoofers, a powerful 133-watt amplifier and our proprietary PhaseCue virtual surround sound system – all in one slim cabinet (36.5”w x 5 3/4”d x 7 3/4”h). It sounds awesome (yes, we know the word is over-used, but the 425 really is awesome). Movie soundtracks aren’t just good sounding, the are startlingly realistic. Bass is solid, accurate and loud down to an amazing 35 Hz (that’s better than some 10” standalone powered subwoofers). With three center all-channel speakers, midrange and vocal reproduction is superb – with crystal-clear dialog, even at low volume settings. And like all ZVOX systems, the 425 reproduces music accurately with natural tonal balance, precise imaging a breath-taking realism. Connect just one cord to your TV and you’ve created a fantastic-sounding, easy-to-use home theater system The 425's benefits. The 425 is compact. 36.5”w x 5 3/4”d x 7 3/4”h. The 425 is simple to install. It uses only one connecting cable to hook up to the audio outputs or headphone jack of a TV. You can also use it with iPods, PCs, satellite radios, portable CD players, game consoles - anything with a headphone jack. The 425 is simple to use. Once connected to a TV, it can be controlled using the TV's remote. It's auto-on/auto-off circuit comes on when you turn on your TV. The "owner's manual" is one sheet of paper. The 425 fills a room with high-quality sound. The ZVOX PhaseCue system uses "out of phase" signals to create a very wide soundstage. You'll swear you're listening to speakers 8 feet apart from each other - even though the 425 is only 36" wide. The ZVOX PhaseCue system also acts as a virtual surround sound system. While listening to movie soundtracks, owners will hear three dimensional sound - with sound effects literally "surrounding them." The 425 uses specially treated long-excursion main drivers. All speaker magnets are powerful Neodymium models that are magnetically shielded. The cabinet is MDF (medium density fiberboard), the same material uses in most high-end loudspeakers. The 425 uses the ZVOX Infinite Compliance system - which connects the outer two main speakers with an acoustic tube. This system helps create big sound from a small cabinet. The 425's features. The 425 is bi-amplified, using a specially designed amplifier that includes electronic contouring for superb frequency response. The 425’s dual 4” subwoofers use a high-mass long-throw design in a ported enclosure. The subwoofers are side-firing to minimize the effect of sound transferring through to the neighboring room. The 425’s five 3.25" main speaker drivers use ferrofluid and neodymium magnets to create remarkably loud, remarkably clear sound. The system is magnetically shielded so it can be used near a TV or monitor. Unlike most systems in its price range, the 425 uses an MDF (medium density fiberboard) wood cabinet - instead of plastic. MDF is the preferred construction material for high-performance speaker systems. A subwoofer output jack on the rear allows owners to connect a separate powered subwoofer (optional). A credit-card sized remote control with power on/off, volume up/down, "mute", phasecue up/down, subwoofer up/down and treble up/downAuto-on/auto-off circuit senses sound from source (TV, iPod, PC) and turns on the 425 two seconds later. Three minutes after it has received no signal, it automatically shuts the unit off. Simple, single-cord connecting system uses a mini stereo jack input on rear panel. Two connecting cords are included: a stereo RCA to stereo RCA connecting cable and a stereo mini to stereo mini connecting cable The ZVOX philosophy: Keep it simple. We've been in the stereo and video business a long time. In the early days, a stereo system was a pretty simple thing. But the advent of home theater surround sound systems - with DVD players, Dolby Digital®, DTS, powered subwoofers, dipole surrounds and center speakers - changed all that. The new "home theater in a box" systems are often simplified. But they also tend to sound more like a table radio or a boom box than a high-quality audio system. Our ZVOX Sound Consoles provide the ultimate in simplicity - but still deliver incredible sound, for music or movies. They use very high quality speaker components, a terrific subwoofer, low-distortion amplifiers - and years of experience - to create accurate, lifelike sound...without complications. What the critics say about the ZVOX 425: Easy to use. Great sound. Very good low bass response. Great for use with a flat panel TV.” – About.comGood, clean sound…vocals were exactly spot-on…bass was good…the 425 sounded great…a minimalist’s dream…rivals many discrete systems.” - Sound & Vision“It sure looks as if the new Zvox 425 single-box surround system has been popping growth supplements like they were Skittles… Powerhouse bass…The subwoofers reach remarkable depths with audible output even lower than the claimed 35 hertz.” -The Chicago TribuneSquareTrade © AP6.0 Up to 3 years added protection SquareTrade © squaretrade warranty v2.0
